MIND

Mind can be summarised as a

"sum-total of experiences(data) and programmes (the ways of thinking which develop on its own depending upon various outer and inner factors) till this moment, with which our brain cells are acquainted with."

Many persons define mind as "a sum-total of data and softwares" stored in brain, but in my opinion this is not true as till date science has also not been able to find out where the data is otherwise there is no need of brain to be trained. Simply put the data and programmes in the storage and make the people doctors,engineers,etc. just like robots. In this sense the mind is false/illusory.

THOUGHTS

"By way of permutations and combinations of the experiences(data) brain interprets the impulses which we call thoughts. These thoughts are basically reactionary impulses (produced in response to inner or outer stimuli) which are transmitted to the brain via nervous system . The brain as per conditioning (training imparted to the brain) gives/interprets it (impulses) as what we call thoughts. If you don't know(brain not trained) Russian language your thought cannot be expressed in Russian language. "

EGO

This is nothing but a misunderstanding that "we are the doer".

This feeling/ knowledge emanates from of the fact that there is either no time gap or gap is hardly of a fraction(1/6 of a second) of second, "between production of impulses and its interpretation by the brain".

This time gap is so small that it is beyond the grasp of brain which in turn gives rise to an impression to the brain that "I" have thought.

But the fact remains that the thoughts have come up on its own.

This misunderstanding gives an impression of a feeling/knowledge of doership which is basically false/illusory.

This non-grasping of the time gap gives an impression to the brain that impulses are the thoughts i.e. they are attached with each other although there is a time gap between the two.

In this sense the ego is also known as the attachment (Maya) which is false/illusory.

For example now everybody has seen the High Definition picture or videos.

This is in digital form. When the picture is digitised the picture is broken into very small circular points known as pixels.

Depending upon the no of pixels in 1 cm square area the picture is said to be in 3 or3 or 4 or7 or 10 mega(mega-10,00,000) pixels etc.

But at the time digitization of pictures in pixels and again re-assembling those pixels an small area(gap) between four pixels is always left to be digitised because pixels are circular in shape. And this gap cannot be caught/grasped by the eyes unless the picture is expanded.

In similar way the brain is not capable of grasping the gap between the production of pulse and its interpretation (which sometimes we call thought caught by the brain). Hence illusory.
