In fact all the scriptures and sayings of the realised souls (Masters, Gurus, Mystics, etc.) are helpful in preparing/grooming oneself so that he/she "somehow" crosses/escapes the threshold limit and find him/her-self free from the influence of conditioning.
And finally he/she is able to see the things AS IT IS.
The scriptures and sayings are concerned with your conditioning only not with anything/anyone else.
They just help you in reaching the required escape velocity from the influence of conditioning.
It is like making the rocket reach the required escape velocity (a threshold limit) so that the the rocket comes/goes out from the earth's gravitational pull. (influence of conditioning---in the case oh human phyche).
