Spontaneity

"Spontaneity" is always "unpredictable".

That is why it is hardly understood but 'generally misunderstood',

because it is a "happening" "without preparation".

Yes I Agree

There is a great rush/fad among the people to agree with a statement of a great person (like Rumi, Khalil, Osho, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Raman Maharshi,Adyashanti, Eckhart Tolle, etc.) without even reading the statement carefully (whether th
e statement makes sense or not) forget about understanding.

They never try to correlate the statement in question with other statements of the same great person and thereby miss the bus of understanding.

Spontaneity and Naturalness

Spontaneity and Naturalness are two facets of the same coin.

If spontaneity is diluted (which can happen only with effort), the naturalness is also bound to be diluted.

Misunderstanding vs understanding

Misunderstanding happens easily"

because of it being "reactionary" in nature does not need energy and time to process the information received through communication

while

"understanding happens with difficulty"

because of it being "responsive" in nature needs energy and time to process the information received through communication.

LAKSHMAN REKHA

SIGNIFICANCE OF LAKSHMAN REKHA

There is an incident in Ramayana when Lakshman drew a big circular line (popularly known as Lakshman Rekha) and told/warned Sita not to go out of the circle i.e. not to cross the boundary (line forming p
erimeter of the circle).

But despite his warning she got tempted and crossed the boundary line. And consequent to that not only she suffered, but all the characters of Ramayana.

I thought what could be the message other than that which has generally been understood.

Perhaps the message is

"Sometimes despite all care taken not to cross the boundary line (Lakshman rekha) drawn by other for you , you unknowingly invariably cross that line because you have not the same understanding of the person who has drawn the line. Hence, if you want a peaceful social life i.e. to avoid your own as well as others' suffering, you must practice not to cross the boundary line drawn by others as far as possible."

Bondage/Freedom is a MYTH

Bondage/Freedom is a MYTH

All the wise ones try to make you understand all the aspects of conceptual bondage/maya (misunderstanding) in the garb of making you liberated (free from bondage/maya).

They try to do that by using various other
 simple concepts.

In a sense the complex concepts by which you are burdened with are made simple.

Perhaps a moment comes when the concepts become so simple that all of a sudden you realise that you were just having an impression/idea that there existed something like liberation/freedom and you were never in bondage at all.

In ultimate sense perhaps there is neither anything nor anyone who wants liberation/freedom ,

but even if there is anyone the liberation/bondage is simply a myth/concept appearing due to influence of societal conditioning.

[ In the picture Idiots means misunderstandings/thoughts that give a sense of bondage/freedom ]

MEMORY & TIME

MEMORY & TIME

MEMORY AND TIME ARE TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN.

BOTH ARE JUST APPEARANCES

AND

NONE OF THEM EXIST "AS SUCH".

PERHAPS WHAT HAPPENS IS THAT

IN RESPONSE TO OUTER STIMULI,

OUR TRAINED/CONDITIONED NEURONS REARRANGE THEMSELVES IN SUCH PATTERNS

THAT

WE FEEL HAVING SENSE OF MEMORY AS WELL AS TIME.

IF THE REARRANGEMENT OF NEURONS DOES NOT HAPPEN ON THE EXPECTED LINES,

THEN PERHAPS WE WILL NEITHER HAVE A SENSE OF HAVING MEMORY NOR THE SENSE OF TIME.
